Tired Hands Brewing Co. knows the best way to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday: brew them a beer.
According to a post on the Ardmore, Pa.-based brewery’s Instagram page, Rob “Strawberry” Berliner is a 6 percent ABV berliner weisse “conditioned alto 150lbs of ripe strawberries.” The new beer was brewed to commemorate the 40th birthday of Rob Berliner, an employee at the brewery.
This is the second time Berliner’s name has been used in a beer, after Rob Berliner, a 5 percent ABV berliner weisse “brewed with rye instead of wheat” was released in May 2014.
According to Tired Hands, Rob “Strawberry” Berliner was made available on tap at the Tired Hands Brew Café today. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
