The Rare Barrel will be bottling Map of the Moon, a 6 percent ABV golden sour ale aged in oak barrels with “twice the amount of apricots that we normally use in our suited sour beers.” The beer was first released by the Berkeley, Calif.-based brewery as a draft-only option last year.

It has released an apricot sour beer before, namely Map of the Sun, a 5.5 percent ABV sour golden ale that was first released in 2013 and incorporates 42 pounds of apricots added to each oak barrel.

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Map of the Moon will be bottle conditioned and packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
