After a three year wait, fans of one of The Lost Abbey’s most anticipated releases are about to be rewarded.
The beer is Duck Duck Gooze, a 7 percent ABV blend of one, two and three year-old Belgian-style blonde sour ales aged in red wine barrels sourced from France.
The sour ale first debuted in 2009, and has only been released once since then by the San Marcos, Calif.-based brewery in 2013.
While pricing and bottle limits have not yet been announced, according to a post on The Lost Abbey’s Facebook page, the newest incarnation of Duck Duck Gooze will be packaged in 750ml bottles and go on sale on July 26. In addition, bottle pickups are being held on Aug. 27-28 and there will be no proxies allowed.
