A new release from The Bruery was blended by two of its Hoarder’s Society members.

The beer is Hoarder’s Cuvée, an 18.5 percent ABV ale aged in bourbon barrels with cacao nibs, raspberries and vanilla beans that is “nearly an equal blend” of the Placentia, Calif.-based brewery’s Black Tuesday imperial stout (19.9 percent ABV) and its anniversary ale.

The Bruery Hoarder's Cuvée 2016 750ml Bottle Label 2

Hoarder’s Cuvée and was designed by Hoarder’s Society members Paul Moore and Luis Barriga during The Bruery’s Hoarder’s Cuvée blending tournament, an exclusive event where members of the club work on blends they would like to see made, and the winning entry is produced for all members of the Society. While the beer was named Melange #15 when it was announced to members via email, it was changed to Hoarder’s Cuvée prior to being released.

According to a label filed with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Hoarder’s Cuvée will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details on a release date and brewing details was not immediately returned.
