This month The Bruery is bringing back its popular collaboration with Mikerphone Brewing Co. called Icky Thump.

Last December, brewers from the Placenita, Calif.-based brewery flew out to Chicago to join up with Mikerphone Brewing to create Icky Thump, an imperial stout brewed with Sumatra coffee from Santa Ana, Calif.-based Portola Coffee.

Wednesday March, 20th is #ThumpDay! It's almost time for #IckyThump, a collaboration with @mikerphonebrewing. This version was brewed here at The Bruery and is a silky, creamy, coffee bomb of a beer, brewed with Chicago-based @tugboatcoffee and comes in at a hefty 11% ABV. Society members get first access in their allocations starting Monday the 18th. We'll have an incredibly limited amount of cans available to the general public on Wednesday, March 20th at our Tasting Room. #drinklocal #drinklocalbeer #cacraftbeer #craftbrewery #independentbrewery #independentcraftbeer #ocbrewersguild #ocbeer #drinkoc #beerlovers #thebruery #mikerphonebrewing #tugboatcoffee #coffeelovers #coffeebeer #coffeeloversclub

According to The Bruery’s website, this 11 percent ABV is making its return, this time in 16-ounce cans ($10). Not wanting the Midwest to “have all the fun,” this batch of Icky Thump will be brewed at The Bruery with Chicago-based coffee from Tugboat Coffee.

Member early access to the returning beer will begin on March 18, and will be available to the public on March 20 at both tasting rooms, according to the brewery’s Instagram.
