Placentia CA-based The Bruery has been working on a new imperial stout, something that’s been in their wheelhouse for many years with the original version being a draft-only offering as part of a pilot batch.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), they will soon be releasing a Thin Mint GSC – GSC as in Girl Scout Cookie. Clocking in at 10.3 percent ABV, this bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout is brewed with mint, cocoa powder, cacao nibs, and natural vanilla flavor. The beer’s original pilot batch was inspired by a popular mint and chocolate cocktail known as a Grasshopper which hails from Louisiana back in the 1920s.

This release is slated to be packaged for release sometime in 2021.

An email sent to the brewery seeking additional information was not immediately returned.
