The Brewers Association (BA) has released its annual lists of the top 50 craft and overall brewing companies in the U.S. based on sales volume in 2018, and there were very few changes from the year before.

As was the case in 2017, Pottsville, PA-based D. G. Yuengling and Son, Inc, Boston Beer Co in Boston and Chico, Calif.-based Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. took the first, second and third spots respectively. In fact, the top 10 places had only one minor change compared to 2017: CANarchy craft brew collective—which includes Oskar Blues Brewery, Cigar City Brewing, Perrin Brewing Co. and Salt Lake Brewing Co.—moved up one spot to eighth place, replacing Stone Brewing Co., which slid to ninth place.

The top 10 breweries on this year’s craft breweries list are:

  • D. G. Yuengling and Son, Inc (Pottsville, Pa.)
  • Boston Beer Co. (Boston, Mass.)
  • Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (Chico, Calif.)
  • New Belgium Brewing Co. (Fort Collins, Colo.)
  • Duvel Moortgat USA (Pasa Robles, Calif.)
  • The Gambrinus Co. (San Antonio, Texas)
  • Bell’s Brewery, Inc (Comstock, Mich.)
  • CANarchy (Longmont/Tampa/Salt Lake City/Comstock Park)
  • Stone Brewing Co. (Escondido, Calif.)
  • Deschutes Brewery (Bend, Ore.)

“Although the market has grown more competitive, particularly for regional craft breweries with the widest distribution, these 50 small and independent brewing companies continue to lead the craft brewing market in sales through strong brands, quality, and innovation,” said Bart Watson, chief economist of the Brewers Association, in a press release.

The Brewers Association is a not-for-profit trade group representing small and independent craft brewers.

The list also includes the top 50 U.S. breweries for overall sales, the top six of which were unchanged from 2017. However, there was one major change in the top 10: Diageo moved up one spot to seventh place, replacing Rochester, N.Y.-based FIFCO USA—previously known as North American Breweries—who moved down to eighth place.

  • Anheuser-Busch, Inc (Saint Louis, Mo.)
  • MillerCoors (Chicago, Ill.)
  • Constellation Brands (Chicago)
  • Heineken (White Plains)
  • Pabst Brewing Co. (Los Angeles, Calif.)
  • D. G. Yuengling & Son, Inc (Pottsville, Pa.)
  • Diego (Norwalk, Conn.)
  • FIFCO USA (Rochester, N.Y.)
  • Boston Beer Co (Boston, Mass.)
  • Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (Chico, Calif.)

Out of the top 50 overall brewing companies, the Brewers Association classified 40 as small and independent craft brewing companies, a number that was unchanged from 2017.
