Terrapin Beer Co. has sent Krunkles to Hawaii for its newest release.
The The Athens, Ga.-based brewery will be releasing Luau Krunkles, a 6.5 percent ABV “Hawaiian IPA” that is brewed with “natural flavors” of guava, orange and passionfruit.
“Krunkles is back with another world renowned IPA inspired by his time spent on the Hawaiian Islands,” reads the beer label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB.) “Jam-packed with tropical flavors of passionfruit, orange and guava, this “Hawaiian IPA” is brewed to accompany you on your next luau.”
Luau Krunkles will be the sixth “Krunkles” beer, all of which are different IPAs inspired by locations around the world, and all of which are under Terrapin’s “Side Projects” Series.
Earlier this week, MillerCoors purchased a majority stake in the Athens, Ga.-based brewery.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Luau Krunkles will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not returned.
