Terrapin Beer Co. has shipped a new mixed four-pack sampler containing four different beers, each of which utilize the same new base stout before incorporating a different single origin coffee from around the world.
- Single Origin Coffee Stout: Kona — Kona Typica coffee from the Lehuula farm in Hawaii
- Single Origin Coffee Stout: Sumatra — Sumatra Rasuua coffee from Wahana Estate in Sidikalang
- Single Origin Coffee Stout: Guatemala — Guatemala Bourbon and Caturra coffee blend from Lxlama farm in Huehuetenango
- Single Origin Coffee Stout: Ethiopia — Ethiopia Indigenious Heirlooms coffee from Habela Estate in the Alaka district
According to Dustin Watts, vp of sales and marketing at the Athens, Ga.-base brewery, the new sampler is set to be one time release that will replace one of the beers in the brewery’s Monster Beer Tour Series, which will now consist of only three releases in 2016 instead of the usual four.
“This allows us a little more creative flexibility and (is) how the Single Origin Coffee Stout project came to life,” Watts told Tenemu in an email.
The Single Origin Coffee Stouts are packaged in a mixed four-pack of 12-ounce bottles and have now shipped to retailers in Terrapin’s entire distribution footprint.
