After close to two years aging in red wine barrels, Surly Brewing Co. has released the newest incarnation of Pentagram.

The newest version of the 6.66 percent ABV dark sour ale is brewed with 2-row pale, Belgian crysta, chocolate and dark Munich malts as well as Columbus hops before being aged in red wine barrels sourced from California for 18 months. The beer was first released by the Minneapolis, Minn.-based brewery in 2013.

According to a press release, Pentagram is packaged in 750ml bottles and will be showing up on retailer’s shelves in Surly’s distribution network starting this week.
