This fall, Surly Brewing Co. will be celebrating its fourteenth anniversary with an appropriately named beer.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), that creation is Fourteen, an 11 percent ABV barleywine-style ale that haas been aged in Parker Heritage Wheat whiskey barrels.

The predecessors in the Anniversary Series are:

  • 2007 – One – Quadruple Bock
  • 2008 – Two – Oak aged Stour with Cranberries
  • 2009 – Three – Braggot
  • 2010 – Four – Double Espresso Stout
  • 2011 – Five – Brett Dark Ale2012 – Sÿx – American Strong Ale
  • 2013 – Seviin – Belgian Strong Ale with Brett
  • 2014 – Eight – Oat Wine Aged in Rye Barrels
  • 2015 – Nein – Imperial Smoked Dunkelweizen
  • 2016 – Ten – Old Ale
  • 2017 — Eleven — Belgian-style Quad Ale
  • 2018 — Twelve — Imperial Pilsner
  • 2019 — Thirteen —
  • 2020 — Fourteen — Barleywine-style Ale aged in Parker Heritage Wheat whiskey barrels

Per Surly’s 2020 release calendar and the aforementioned beer label, Fourteen will be packaged in 16-ounce cans that are scheduled to be released in October.
