A new Bastard is on the way.

Stone Brewing Co. will be releasing Double Bastard Bigger Longer Uncut, a 12.5 percent ABV blend of both fresh and barrel-age versions of its Double Bastard Ale (11 percent ABV), which was first sold in 1998 to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Arrogant Bastard Ale (7.2 percent ABV.) The new beer from the Escondido, Calif.-based brewery is a blend of three different variants: 35 percent of Double Bastard Ale aged in Laphroaig scotch whisky barrels, 15 percent aged in Templeton Rye whiskey barrels and 50 percent fresh 2016 Double Bastard Ale.

Stone Double Bastard Bigger Longer Uncut 22-Ounce Label 2

“This intensified blend of barrel-aged Double Bastard Ale is all heart baby,” reads the bottle label. “The weak will find it to be a telltale heart. It knows of your fallibly. It smells your fear. The heart of this beer disdains you, as it disdains all thing homogenized, wimpy and uncultured.”

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Double Bastard Bigger Longer Uncut will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
