Stone Brewing Co.’s 20th Anniversary celebration continues, this time with the release of a special sampler that includes some of the brewery’s most popular IPAs.
The Escondido, Calif.-based brewery has released the 20th Anniversary IPA Collection, a four-box sampler of IPAs that includes three different rereleases that are exclusive to the sampler and one brand new beer, Stone 20th Anniversary Citracado IPA, that was released last month. The sampler is being rereleased as part of Stone’s 20th Anniversary Encore Series, which, as the name implies, includes beers previously released being brought back to commemorate the Stone’s 20th anniversary.
The four-pack box includes four different IPAs, all packaged in 22-ounce bottles:
- Stone 5th Anniversary IPA (8.5 percent ABV) — Originally released in 2001, this IPA incorporates centennial and Magnum hops
- Stone 10th Anniversary IPA (10 percent ABV) — Originally released in 2006, this double IPA is brewed with chinook, crystal, Simcoe and Summit hops
- Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA (10.8 percent ABV) — Originally released in 2011, this double IPA incorporates nelson sauvin and Pacific Jade hops from New Zealand
- Stone 20th Anniversary Citracado IPA (9 percent ABV) — Double IPA brewed with centennial, Citra, El Dorado and nugget hops as well as avocado flower honey
According to Stone’s marketing materials, the Anniversary IPA Collection is being released to retailers nationwide this week.
