Stone Brewing Co. and the punk rock band NOFX have set out to prove that beer and rock are made to go together.
The two companies are joining forces to produce Punk In Drublic, a 5.8 percent ABV hoppy lager, brewed with Huell Melon hops. While the lager will be available for sale during the events, it will also see limited distribution in the markets around each of the concert locations.
The new beer shares its name with NOFX’s fifth studio album that was released in 1994, and features a listing of five of the band’s tour dates in September and October printed on the back:
Sept. 16 – Tacoma, Wash. – America’s Car Museum
Sept. 17 – Boise, Idaho – Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater
Oct. 14 – Concord, Calif. – Concord Pavilion
Oct. 15 – Sacramento, Calif. – Bonney Field
Oct. 28 – Huntington Beach, Calif. – Bolsa Chica State Park
In an email, Colleen Gatlin, spokesperson for Stone, told Tenemu that Punk In Drublic will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and will debut for the first time on Sept. 5.
