The w00t is on the way back.
Next summer, Stone Brewing Co. will be releasing Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout 2019, an 11.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with rye and wheat malts and pecans before being partially aged in bourbon barrels.
A collaboration between actor Wil Wheaton, Drew Curtis, creator of Fark.com; and Greg Koch, Stone’s ceo, the stout is named after Wheaton’s annual festival celebrating cross-genre geekdom w00tstock and will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles.
This will be the sixth time the imperial stout will be available after it debuted in 2013 and the artwork on the newest incarnation has been drawn by artist Alan Davis, who is best known for his work on Uncanny X-Men and Justice League of America comic books. According to the bottle label, the logo depicts a hero who “channels our iconic gargoyle’s guardian powers to battle against the evils of the world of beer.”
In an email, Lizzie Younkin, public relations senior manager for Stone, told Tenemu that Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout 2019 will be packaged in both 22-ounce bottles as well as six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to ship to retailers nationwide in “late June.”
