It turns out that one of Stone Brewing Co.’s state-exclusive releases will be available in more areas than originally thought.
Mint Coffee Milk Stout is a 5 percent ABV milk stout brewed with coffee beans, milk sugar, fresh chocolate mint and peppermint packaged in 22-ounce bottles. The stout uses the brewery’s Coffee Milk Stout (5 percent ABV) as its base and was originally released on Oct. 31 exclusively to retailers in southern California.
However, in an email, Lizzie Younkin, public relations manager for Stone, told Tenemu that starting in January, the beer will see expanded distribution to “limited retailers” in six additional states: Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
“It is the same beer released in So-cal, but it is being brewed out of our Richmond, VA location, while So-Cal distribution is brewed in Escondido,” Younkin said in an email.
The original Coffee Milk Stout is a seasonal release that first debuted in 2014.
