Two new beers from Stillwater Artisanal Ales are inspired by strains of cannabis.

The new release are Mango Dream, a 6.5 percent ABV sour ale brewed with mango and dry-hopped with Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops and Tangerine Haze, a 7 percent ABV sour ale brewed with tangerines. Both ales will be brewed and canned at Overshores Brewing Co. in East Haven, Conn.

Stillwater Mango Dream 12-Ounce Can Label

In an email, Brian Strumke, owner of Stillwater, told Tenemu that Mango Dream, Pineapple Fields (6.7 percent ABV) and Tangerine Haze are part of the brewery’s Elevation Set that are “inspired by various strains of cannabis.”

According to Strumke, Tangerine Haze and Mango Dream will be packaged in 12-ounce cans and are scheduled to be shipped across Stillwater’s full distribution network in June and July respectively, although qualities will be “limited at first.”
