Pumpkin lovers have a reason to rejoice, as Southern Tier Brewing Co. will be releasing Rum Barrel Aged Pumking again this year.

As with previous incarnations, the imperial pumpkin ale has been brewed with both pumpkins and pumpkin pie spices before being aged in rum barrels, and uses the Lakewood, N.Y.-based brewery’s Pumking (8 percent ABV) as its base.

However, in an email, Southern Tier brand manager Nathan Arnone told Tenemu that while the 2016 release was available exclusively in the states of Ohio, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, this year’s version will be shipped to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network.

According to Arnone, Rum Barrel Aged Pumking will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is schelulded to begin shipping to retailers in September.
