Smuttynose Brewing Co. proves that Bruce Lee is not the only one to know kung fu with its newest release.
The Portsmouth, N.H.-based brewery will be releasing Kung Fu Hobo, a 5.5 percent ABV “Track-side” kölsch that is “best with beans.” According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the can should be recycled or repurposed “as a sterno stove.”
The new beer is being released under Smuttynose’s Smuttlabs division, which was founded in 2012 as a place for “special projects that just don’t fit anywhere else, if a project is out of the ordinary, unique or time consuming, you can bet it’ll bear the Smuttlabs name.”
Kung Fu Hobo will be packaged in 16-ounce cans that will be canned in June. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
