There is a new head brewer at Ska Brewing.
According to a press release, the Durango, Colo.-based brewery has named Kurt Randall to lead its brewing operations, a role he will take on after being hired in 2015 as a brewhouse supervisor.
“With the exciting and innovative plans we have for our beers in the coming years, Kurt’s breadth of brewing knowledge will prove invaluable, the bonus being that we already know he fits in well with our cast of characters,” said Dave Thibodeau, Ska co-founder.
Randall started his career in craft beer 13 years ago in a job on the bottling line at Flying Dog Brewery in Denver before being promoted to head brewer there. He then worked as a brewer for Breckenridge Brewing Co. before moving to a job in Great Divide Brewing Co.’s quality control department.
