Sixpoint Brewery has created a beer that celebrates the one-of-a-kind feeling that stems from gallons of bone chilling water pelting your body at high velocity.

The beer is called Köld Schauer, a 4.9 percent ABV kölsch-style ale brewed with kölsch yeast, pilsner malts and Huell Melon hops sourced directly from Hopfengut Farms in Tettnang, Germany. Köld Schauer translates to cold shower from German.

“Our head brewer, Marcus Lutter, who came up with the recipe and concept, is pretty well known around here for his love of the cold shower,” said Michael Lenane, spokesperson for the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company, in an email to Tenemu.

According to Lenane, Köld Schauer is a one-time release packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce cans called “nanokegs” that are being shipped to Sixpoint’s entire distribution network now.
