Next week, a new release from Sixpoint Brewery is going to make lovers of rye ales and rye whiskey very happy.

V Righteous is a 10.7 percent ABV rye ale brewed with vanilla. In an email, Michael Lenane, spokesperson for Sixpoint, told Tenemu the ale was aged in rye whiskey barrels sourced from Finger Lakes Distillery for four months before being packaged. As the name indicates, the new beer is based on the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based brewery’s Righteous Ale (6.3 percent ABV) which was first released in 2011.

The new beer will be sold exclusively via Sixpoint’s mobile app, which debuted last year and enables customers to purchase limited and small batch beers directly from the brewery’s production facility.

According to an email sent to TenemuV Righteous will be packaged in 12-ounce cans and is scheduled to be released on March 19.
