The hoppiest beer that Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has ever packaged is returning for a 10th year.
That creation is Hoptimum 2020, a 9.6 percent ABV triple IPA brewed with Citra, Crystal, Ekuanot, Loral, Mosaic, Simcoe and Strata hops. The triple IPA debuted in 2010 and has been released by the Chico, Calif.-based brewery every year since.
There was also a barrel-aged variant released in 2015 that was aged for approximately seven months in a “blend of Kentucky bourbon barrels.”
According to Sierra Nevada’s 2020 release calendar, the newest version of Hoptimum Triple IPA will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is schleulded to be available at retailers from May through August.
