Sierra Nevada will be releasing two new variations of two of its core beers, a tropical hop version of Torpedo IPA called Tropical Torpedo IPA and an orange peel version of its pale ale called Sidecar Orange Pale Ale.
Sidecar Orange Pale Ale is made with “orange peel and bold, citrus heavy hops” and clocks in with an ABV of 5.3 percent and 35 IBUs.
For Tropical Torpedo IPA, Sierra Nevada used Galaxy and Simcoe hops to create a beer that tastes like it has fruit, though the brewery said no fruit was added. It has an ABV of 6.7 percent and 55 IBUs.
Sidecar Orange Pale Ale will be available Jan. 1, 2017, in six- and 12-packs of 12-ounce bottles at retail and on draft at Sierra Nevada’s taproom. Bottles of Tropical Torpedo IPA will also launched in six- and 12-packs on Jan. 1 while the beer will be available on draft later in Q1.
