According to labels filed with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Russian River Brewing Co. are teaming up for the seventh release of their Brux Domesticated Wild Ale.
Brux Domesticated Wild Ale is an 8.3 percent ABV Belgian-style ale refermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces bruxellensis that was originally brewed in 2012. Since then, the same beer has been released each year, meaning every release has an additional year of age when it is bottled.
“When we originally made the beer, we held onto 1,000 cases and when we hit five years we started releasing 100 cases with label changes,” said Terence Sullivan, brewery ambassador atSierra Nevada, in an email to Tenemu.
The limited release collaboration ale will only be available at the Chico, Calif.-based brewery’s gift shops in Chico, Mills River, and Berkeley packaged in 750ml bottles.
