Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has another release in its Trip In The Woods Series on the horizon.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Chico, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing Barrel-Aged Stout, a 10 percent ABV stout that has been aged in both red wine and bourbon barrels.

The Trip In The Woods series has included beer such as Barrel-Aged Lime Ale (9.3 percent ABV); Scotch Style Ale (9.1 percent ABV), which was aged in bourbon barrels; Ovila Quad (10.3 percent ABV) aged in madeira barrels (11.5 percent ABV) and Barrel-Aged Porter, a 7.4 percent ABV porter that was aged in red wine barrels.

According to the beer label, Barrel-Aged Stout will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
