Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is has another release in its Trip In The Woods series, and this one is aged in barrels.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Chico, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing Barrel-Aged Porter, a 7.4 percent ABV porter that has been aged in red wine barrels.
The Trip In The Woods series has included beer such as Barrel-Aged Lime Ale (9.3 percent ABV), Scotch Style Ale (9.1 percent ABV), which was aged in bourbon barrels, Ovila Quad (10.3 percent ABV) aged in madeira barrels (11.5 percent ABV) and Tawny Narwhal (11.4 percent ABV), an imperial stout aged in tawny port barrels.
According to the beer label, Barrel-Aged Porter will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
