According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is working on releasing Barrel-Aged Blueberry Maple Stout, an 13 percent ABV imperial stout aged in barrels with blueberries and maple syrup added that will be packaged in 12-ounce  bottles.

The new beer will be an exclusive release for the Chico, Calif.-based brewery’s Alpha Hop Society, a membership club that gives members access to exclusive beers, the first shot at new beer releases and access to Sierra Nevada brewery events.

Past Alpha Hop Society releases have included Barrel-Aged White Ale with Cherries, a 9.5 percent ABV witbier style ale aged in bourbon barrels with cherry puree added and Barrel-Aged Orange Currant Imperial Stout, an 11.7 percent imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with red currants and orange peel.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
