A Side Project Brewing creation that has not been released in four years is returning next weekend.
That beer is Thicket, a “Missouri Wild Ale” that is a blend of a “Flanders-inspired” red ale and “a touch of our French oak foedre beer.” The ale was then conditioned for close to a year on 3000 pounds of Oregon blackberries sourced from Decker Farms before being bottled.
This is the second time that the blackberry sour ale has been released after it debuted in January 2015.
According to a post on Side Project’s website, Thicket Blend #2 will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($20) and is scheduled to be released exclusively at the brewery and The Side Project Cellar on May 4. As has historically been the case, allocations will be based on the number of people who show up for the release.
