A beer from Side Project Brewing that has not been seen since 2017 is making its return on Sunday.

Saison du Fermier Blend #5 is a 7 percent ABV “Missouri Saison” brewed with both wild brettanomyces and lactobacillus that has been aged in French oak Chardonnay wine barrels. This is only the fifth time the saison has been released since it debuted in 2013.

This Sunday, at The Brewery, we welcome back Saison du Fermier and we will also be celebrating Fermier Day! – Saison du Fermier is our flagship Missouri Saison. Fermented and aged in French Oak Chardonnay barrels with a blend of yeast and native Missouri cultures before being naturally conditioned in the bottle. This is only our 5th release of our favorite Saison. – Also this Sunday, we will be celebrating Fermier Day where we will debut Abricot du Fermier Blend 4 and Cassis du Fermier Blend 2 for on-site enjoyment! (To-go releases of those will be at a later date) We will have an extensive list of on-site enjoyment Fermiers including Oude, Kriek, Bleuet and others. – I will have a blog post up with the full lineup later this week! – Very excited to share with you our latest barrel-fermented spelt Saison worthy of the white Saison du Fermier label and to have our original Saison, from our very first release back to enjoy! – Cheers!

According to a post on Side Project’s Instagram page, Saison du Fermier Blend #5 is packaged in 750ml bottles and will go on sale at the brewery on July 14 with a purchase limit that will be based on the number of customers that show up for the release.
