You won’t need a hammer to try Side Project Brewing’s newest beer.
According to the Saint Louis, Mo.-based brewery’s Facebook page, Pulling Nails Blend #3 (6 percent ABV) is a blend of “Oude du Blé w/ Apricots, 2yr Spontaneous Blond & Foedre Beer.”
Each of the blends for Pulling Nails is different, and Side Project describes the project as an “ongoing experiment in the art of blending to create sour and wild ales of extraordinary depth, complexity and balance.” Pulling Nails Blend #1 (6 percent ABV) was released on Feb. 1, 2014 while Pulling Nails Blend #2 (6 percent ABV) was released on Nov. 29, 2014.
Pulling Nails Blend #3 will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($30) and will go on sale at Side Project on Saturday, June 13 at 12:00 p.m. In regards to a specific limit, owner Cory King tweeted, “Bottle limits for our releases aren’t set till I do a line count right before the release, to ensure that everyone gets beer…”
