Two of the biggest names in the barrel-aged imperial stout game have joined forces.

The resulting collaboration between Side Project Brewing and Cycle Brewing Co. is named BVC, a 15 percent ABV imperial stout aged in brandy barrels with cinnamon and vanilla. However, while the beer label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) features the BVC name and a new label design, the description of the beer on the label seems to be copied from Side Project’s Derivation Blend #10, a barrel-aged imperial coffee stout that was released last year.

In addition, 750ml bottles were released for purchase as an onsite-only option during the 2019 La Coterie Party earlier this month.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
