On Wednesday, Short’s Brewing Co. will be releasing a new beer named Psychedelic Cat Grass, a triple dry-hopped IPA that will be packaged and distributed within 24 hours of being brewed. The IPA was originally brewed as a draft-only option for Grand Rapids, Mich.-based HopCat Brewpub earlier this year.
“We originally talked about executing this at our pub only, but in true Short’s fashion we decided to push ourselves further and extend this to the state of Michigan and beyond,” said Scott Newman-Bale, Short’s partner, in a post on the brewery’s website. “Why not go all in and see just how psychedelic we can get?!”
According to a post on Short’s website, Psychedelic Cat Grass IPA will be sold in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be packaged, delivered, and served in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on Aug. 17. In addition, the label artwork is three-dimensional, and each six-pack will include its own pair of 3D glass to take advantage of this fact.
