St. Louis, M0.-based Schlafly announced the release of its Farmhouse IPA on Feb 16.
This special release IPA has a 7.2 percent ABV and 40 IBU. It is described as a farmhouse ale brewed with chinook hops and dry-hopped with centennial and Mosaic hops.
According to Schlafly’s website, the two hop varieties used for dry-hopping were each chosen to add specific attributes: “Centennial for both bitterness and flavor, and the complex Mosaic hop for fruity and earthy aromas.”
It is available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles ($8.99) at all four Schlafly locations. Farmhouse IPA will be shipped throughout the entire St. Louis Beer Co. distribution footprint.
