According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Saint Arnold Brewing Co. is working on releasing Barrel-Aged Cocoa Nibs, Coffee & Vanilla Russian Imperial Stout, an 11.5 percent ABV Russian imperial stout aged three different varietals of bourbon barrels sourced from Kentucky for 14 months and conditioned on a combination of cocoa nibs, locally roasted coffee and vanilla.

This “indulgent” version of the Houston-based brewery’s Russian Imperial Stout will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles.

Saint Arnold has released or filed labels for similar beers in the past, including Double Barrel Russian Imperial Stout, a 12.9 percent ABV Russian imperial stout aged in bonded bourbon barrels before being finished in wheated bourbon barrels; and Double Barrel Imperial Stout, a 14.9 percent ABV imperial stout aged in barrels that previously held Early Times bourbon for 16 months before being aged in for 12 months in Tawny Port barrels.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
