Houston-based Saint Arnold Brewing Co. released the newest addition to its Icon series, Icon Gold, on June 6, replacing Icon Green.

Icon Gold is a Texas honey saison with an ABV of 6.4 percent and 25 IBUs. It has a modest malt bill made up of CaraPils, pilsner and wheat—and a hop bill containing lemon drop, Motueka and perle.

The simplistic base malts provide a canvas for the rich flavors of the French saison yeast and the citrus and earthy notes produced by the hops to be fully appreciated. The addition of 800 pounds per batch of pure Texas Wildflower Honey from Burleson’s Honey, located in Waxahachie, Texas, provides Icon Gold with aromatic notes of floral blooms and nectarines.

Icon Gold is available now in 12-ounce bottle six-packs and on draft throughout Saint Arnold’s full distribution footprint.
