For the second year in a row, Saint Arnold Brewing Co. is releasing two versions of its most popular imperial pumpkin stout.

The first version is Pumpkinator 2018, a 10.5 percent ABV “imperial pumpkin stout” brewed with pale two row, caramel and black malts, as well as cascade and liberty hops. The beer also includes pumpkin, molasses, brown sugar and various spices to “make it feel like you just walked into your mom’s kitchen while she was cooking 37 pumpkin pies.”

Pumpkinator was originally released in 2009 as part of Saint Arnold’s Divine Reserve Series. It was given the Pumpkinator moniker in 2011, and has been released as a fall seasonal in October packaged in 22-ounce bottles every year since.

In addition, Saint Arnold is releasing Bourbon Barrel Pumpkinator 2018, a 12.9 percent ABV version of Pumpkinator aged in bourbon barrels. The stout debuted last year as a 12.9 percent ABV version of Pumpkinator aged in barrels that previously held Woodford Reserve. In addition, a similar concept—Pumpkinator aged in barrels that held Willett bourbon—was released in 2015 as Bishop’s Barrel No. 9.

According to a post on Saint Arnold’s website, Pumpkinator 2018 and Bourbon Barrel Pumpkinator 2018 will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and 12-ounce bottles respectively and are being released at retailers today.
