A former Divine Reserve release from Saint Arnold Brewing Co.  is making the jump to its Divine Reserve Series early next year.

Bishop’s Barrel 25 is a Baltic porter brewed with Munich, Chocolate Wheat and brown malts as well as flaked oats before being aged in port barrels. In an email, Aaron Inkrott, brewing operations manager at Saint Arnold, told Tenemu that the new beer uses the same base as the Houston-based brewery’s Divine Series #17 (9.2 percent ABV) that was released in January 2017.

The barrel-aged porter will be part Saint Arnold’s Bishop’s Barrel Series, which debuted in 2012 and is made up of creations produced as a way for the brewery to experiment with various beers with adjuncts and aged in different types of barrels.

According to Inkrott and labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Bishop’s Barrel 25 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to ship to retailers in Saint Arnold’s distribution network in “early 2020.”
