A bottled variant of one of Saint Arnold Brewing Co.’s most popular seasonal releases is on the way.
The beer in question is Bourbon Barrel Pumpkinator 2017, a 12.9 percent ABV “imperial pumpkin stout” brewed with pumpkin, molasses, brown sugar and various spices before being aged in bourbon barrels. The stout uses the Houston-based Pumpkinator as its base, and a 12.9 percent ABV version of Pumpkinator aged in barrels that previously held Woodford Reserve and Willett bourbon was released in 2015 as Bishop’s Barrel No. 9.
According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Bourbon Barrel Pumpkinator 2017 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
