Texas’ self-proclaimed oldest craft brewery is expecting a new beer in its future. Saint Arnold Brewing Co., the iconic Houston establishment, is bringing yet another beer to its Icon Series of beers.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), consumers should expect a newcomer to the Icon Series, the Texas Honey Saison.
The Texas Honey Saison uses wildflower honey from Burleson’s Honey in Waxahachie, Texas that is described as imparting floral notes while lemondrop and Motueka hops are added to evoke earthiness and citrus. Alcohol content has not yet been reported, but the Texas Honey Saison will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles.
The Icon Series of beers from Saint Arnold allows the production team to develop new offerings. Some of the beers in the series may be based on traditional styles, but many have a twist on the style that sets them apart.
As of publication, the brewery did not respond to a request for an exact release date.
