Saint Arnold Brewing Co.’s newest Icon Series release incorporates a hop that it has never used before.

The new beer is Icon Green El Dorado IPA, which as the name implies, is a red IPA brewed with El Dorado hops. While the Houston, Texas-based brewery has released many IPAs in the past, this is the first time it has incorporated the El Dorado hops into one of its beers.


The Icon Series beers are available for about three months at a time and include interpretations of iconic beer styles as well as “more creative interpretations or melding of beer styles”, with the color rotating with each release. Past releases have included:


According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Icon Green El Dorado IPA will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
