Russian River Brewing Co. has stopped serving pours of Pliny the Younger 2019, but we already know the date for next year’s release.
In an email, Vinnie Cilurzo, owner and head brewer of Russian River, told Tenemu that Feb. 7 is the date that the famous triple IPA brewed with a rotating hop bill will go on sale next year. The IPA was first brewed as a winter seasonal in 2005 and next year will mark the 15th consecutive year that the 10.25 percent ABV beer will be brewed and sold.
The Santa Rosa, Calif.-based brewery also produces another beer named Pliny the Elder, an 8 percent ABV double IPA brewed with Amarillo, centennial, CTZ, and Simcoe hops.
As has historically been the case, Pliny the Younger will be available exclusively on draft throughout the state of California starting on Feb. 7, 2020. In addition, there will be very limited draft availability in a few other markets and no growlers will be filled.
