Pliny The Younger is back.

This year’s version of Russian River’s Pliny The Younger is brewed with Amarillo, Azacca, centennial, chinook, crystal, Idaho 7, Simcoe, Tomahawk and Warrior hops. The IPA was first brewed as a winter seasonal in 2005 and this year marks the 14th year that the 10.25 percent ABV beer has been brewed and sold—once again exclusively on draft.

Russian River produces another beer named Pliny The Elder, an 8 percent ABV double IPA brewed with Amarillo, centennial, CTZ and Simcoe hops. That beer is sold in bottles and readily available.

For 2018, Pliny The Younger is available today exclusively at Russian River starting today. Other locations around Sonoma County, Southern California and the Bay Area will receive kegs starting on Feb. 5. In addition, there will be very limited draft availability in a number of other markets including Colorado, Oregon, Sacramento, Philadelphia and San Jose “sometime in early February.” Russian River prohibits growler fills for Pliny The Younger.
