This year Portland State University (PSU) graduates have more than a diploma to celebrate their graduation.
Portland, Ore.-based brewery Rogue Ale & Spirits has produced Viktory Ale, a 6.6 percent ABV ale that incorporates 2-row, c15, Munich, Rogue Farms Dare and Risk malts as well as Rogue Farms Revolution and Independent hops.
“PSU students have been a vital part of our Portland community; as friends, neighbors and customers'” said Brett Joyce, Rogue president, in a press release. “They have spent a lot of time doing homework and studying for exams at Rogue Hall, we’re virtually on the campus map. We wanted to say congratulations with a beer just for them. They certainly earned it.”
According to the brewery, Viktory Ale will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($6.75) and will be sold at Rogue Pubs, the PSU commencement ceremonies, PSU’s Graduation Fair, and on the Rogue.com store. The beer will be officially released on May 21 at the Dare, Risk, Dream Graduation Party which is being held at Rogue Hall, located near the PSU campus.
