River North Brewery’s 4th anniversary was in February, but since its new facility on Washington Street was not ready at the time, the brewery is celebrating next week.
To commemorate the occasion, the Denver-based brewery will be releasing Anniversary Ale 4 ¼, a 9.5 percent ABV imperial saison that has been aged in barrels that previously held fully-blended Manhattan cocktails for 11 months.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our un-birthday,” said Matt Hess, head brewer at River North, in a press release. “This beer itself has been a year in the making, but the techniques and inspiration behind it represent our entire four-year journey.”
According to a press release, Anniversary Ale 4 ¼ will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($10) and will go on sale during an event at the brewery on May 27 before seeing limited distribution in the state of Colorado.
