There is a new Bomb! variant coming from Prairie Artisan Ales, and someone’s birthday is going to be extra special.
According to a post on its website, the Tulsa, Okla.-based brewery will be releasing Birthday Bomb!, a 13 percent ABV imperial stout conditioned on coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and chili peppers that is being brewed and bottled at Krebs Brewing Co. in Krebs, Okla.
However, while Birthday Bomb! was brewed to commemorate the three year anniversary of the base beer, the newest incarnation will have one ingredient not found in any of the other releases of the imperial stout: caramel.
“Birthday Bomb! was conceived to celebrate three wonderful years of experimentation and fun loving flavors like the current incarnation with caramel sauce, reads the post on Prairie’s website. “Made in house by our brewers with nothing but black gloves and a propane tank.”
This will be the sixth different bottled Bomb! release from Prairie:
- Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
- Pirate Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
- Christmas Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
- Brimstone Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
- Barrel-Aged Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
- Birthday Bomb! (13 percent ABV)
In addition, Prairie released a beer named Fred’s Blend in 2014 that came in at 13 percent ABV was available exclusively in Oklahoma and also incorporated coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and chili peppers.
As with all of the different incarnations of the signature imperial stout, Birthday Bomb! will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles and is being shipped to retailers now.
