Prairie Artisan Ales is releasing the newest version of a popular barrel-aged stout next month, but you won’t have to go all the way to Oklahoma to get it.

That is because the brewery will be shipping the newest incarnation of Pirate Bomb!, a 13 percent ABV variant of the brewery’s Bomb! imperial stout brewed with coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla beans and chillies that has been aged in rum barrels for nine months. The imperial stout debuted in Oct. 2013 and was last sold in Jan. 2018.

Last week, Prairie announced the online sale of three different rum barrel-aged stouts: Pirate Punch, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on orange blossom water and almonds, Pirate Weekend, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on chocolate, coconut and marshmallows and the latest incarnation of Pirate Paradise 2019, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on coconut and vanilla. Those beers can still be purchased here with pickups starting at one of two of Prairie’s locations starting on Aug.8 and proxies are allowed.

In an email, Zach Prichard, owner of Krebs Brewing, told Tenemu that Pirate Bomb! 2019 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to shipped to retailers across its nationwide distribution network starting the week of Aug. 12. The stout will also be available for purchase at the brewery priced at $13 per bottle.
