Prairie Artisan Ales has released a brand new beer just in time for Christmas, but fans will have to travel to Oklahoma City to get it.

That beer is Pirate Christmas, an imperial stout aged in rum barrels for approximately two years and conditioned on “spices.” As the name suggests, the new creation uses Prairie’s Christmas Bomb! (13 percent ABV) as its base, a beer brewed with cacao nibs, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon and chili peppers that was first released in 2014.

It’s a Christmas miracle! Tucked away in a dark corner, we found some sticky rum barrels filled with imperial stout. These barrels were dated back to July of 2017. Upon tasting the deliciousness of time, we decided this beer needed to be enjoyed this holiday season. What better way to celebrate these lost treasures than with our beloved, Christmas Bomb!? Welcome…Pirate Christmas – Imperial Stout Aged in Rum Barrels with spices. Starting today (OKC taproom ONLY), you can pick up 2 bottles per person, per day while supplies last. There are only 350 bottles of this gem, so we don’t anticipate it lasting long. *In person purchases only. No online or phone reservations. No proxies.
