According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Prairie Artisan Ales is working on releasing Mocha Noir, a 14.2 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with “coffee and natural flavors.” The new stout is a variant of the brewery’s base beer named Prairie Noir.

Mocha Noir will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. In addition, while the beer label attached to this story is the label that was approved by TTB, Prairie frequently changes the final designs of labels before the beers are released to market.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
