One of Prairie Artisan Ales’ most popular stouts is returning, and it is bringing two brand new rum barrel-aged friends with it.

The two new beers are Pirate Punch, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on orange blossom water and almonds; and Pirate Weekend, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on chocolate, coconut and marshmallows. In addition, Prairie will be releasing Pirate Paradise 2019, a rum barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on coconut and vanilla. The imperial stout debuted as a brewery-only exclusive in September 2016 and was last sold in Feb. 2018.

According to a post on Prairie’s Facebook page, Pirate Punch, Pirate Weekend and Pirate Paradise 2019 will all be packaged in 12-ounce bottles priced at $12 each when they are released exclusively at the brewery on Aug. 8. In addition, while Pirate Paradise 2019 will have a 12 bottle per person purchase limit, both Pirate Punch and Pirate Weekend will have a two bottle per person purchase limit.

All three beers can be purchased now at this website and purchasers can then choose to pick up their bottles at one of two of Prairie’s locations starting on Aug.8 or have a proxy pick up the beers instead.
